Maps of the Moon is a moody, genre-blurring side project from long-time music producer William G, of Chicago and Los Angeles. A step away from more polished commercial productions, Maps of the Moon instead embraces raw, vulnerable creativity — and shares it through unconventional means.

Blending between late-night hip-hop, moody indie rock, and hypnotic R&B, the songs explore themes like intoxicating love, altered states of mind, and the hidden terrain of our own thoughts. 



The name Maps of the Moon nods to the dark, beautiful and mysterious nature of our closest celestial body. Often associated with feminine energy, dreams, and the spirit world — the moon has long symbolized the unseen, the intuitive, the romantic, and the strange. Half in perpetual shadow and rising to be seen in darkness, it invites us to explore the unknown.
